 For people who strive to live by Biblical standards, the very 1st. and most important commandment is: "Do not worship any other gods besides me. Do not make idols of any kind."(Ex. 20; Deut.5) Idol Worship is when something or someone is more cherished than our relationship with God. Why does God demand our worship? Is His ego so fragile that He needs our worship? God is the Source of all life, the Creator and Sustainer of theUniverse. God provides purpose, purity, design, intelligence and destiny. God is Love, Light, Spirit and Truth. God determines the length of our days on earth. We are His creation, made in His Image. God desires to share His Goodness with His creation, He doesn't need anything, but He demands harmony with His perfection.   In the book of Proverbs Chapter 6, the Philosopher-King Solomon lists 7 vices that God detests.     1. Eyes that are conceited (arrogant/vain)     2. Tongues that lie     3. Hands that shed innocent blood     4. Hearts that plot evil, devising wicked schemes     5. Feet that race to do wrong, violence and immorality     6. Minds that pervert the truth     7.
